A lively Victorian village on the shores of Lake Brome
Located about 100 kilometres southeast of Montréal on a magnificent lake, Knowlton is a lively village of flowers and shady spaces. With its Anglo-Saxon charm, Knowlton is also worth visiting in winter for its inns, ice fishing, window shopping and winter sports at Glen Mountain, or a rejuvenating visit to a lakefront health spa.
Vacationers come to enjoy water sports, the beautiful surrounding landscape and its charming streets lined with small shops, antique stores and cafés.
The village was founded in 1821 with the construction of a first mill. The presence of three churches reflects the co-existence of cultures and religions. Beautiful houses are scattered about the village. Duck farming is a Brome Lake specialty: you can taste it on the spot or else stock up..

If a rich past is the guarantor of the future, The Town of Brome Lake retains the youthfulness of its 35 years of history and remains faithful to its 200 year old roots. Established in 1971 and nestled in a bountiful rural setting, Brome Lake offers visitors a breath of freshness, a kind of passport to escape, rest, nature and the country.
We all welcome yoy to our proud heritage and we hope you will
