An exceptional site classified as a natural area

Once a small fishing village at the tip of Gaspé Peninsula, Percé offers an original built heritage with a remarkable maritime panorama.

It includes Percé Rock, resembling an enormous shipwreck surrounded by birds and accessible at low tide, with steep cliffs on both sides, and nearby Île Bonaventure, a Québec national park and summer sanctuary for over 250,000 migratory birds, including 120,000 Northern Gannets.

Behind the magnificent Saint-Michel church, trails lead to lookouts at the summit of Mont Ste-Anne, the Grotto and the Crevice, from where you marvel at the beauty of the site.

The village offers old fishing buildings, ancestral homes, a museum, art galleries and an impressive tourist infrastructure.  Nearby, the typical small port of Anse-à-Beaufils offers interpretation and animation activities close to a beach known for its agates and jaspers.
