The jewel of the fjord

  • From Montreal or Quebec City, you can either take highway 175 from Quebec City to Chicoutimi, cross the Saguenay, and then take highway 172 east towards Tadoussac.

  • Alternatively, take highway 138 all the way to Tadoussac, then onto highway 172 west towards Chicoutimi. (This road hugs the Sainte-Marguerite River, and is a magnificent and natural site to behold).

Located at approximately 20 miles from the town of Saguenay, the village of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord is the most interesting community living on the fjord, with the marine and the Saguenay parks.

It is a village where citizens are proud of being part of the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of Québec.

Welcome to Sainte-Rose-du-Nord; you will feel at home after just a few minutes with us !

M. Laurent Thibeault,

Mayor of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord
