The Maison des Dunes interpretation centre houses a permanent exhibition and a team of park wardens who explain the geological phenomenon of sand dunes. Several short trails are accessible in the area.
The Chauvin trading post is a replica of the first fur trading post built in 1600 by Pierre de Chauvin de Tonnetuit. The exhibition covers pre-history, contact, the fur trade, the oil trade and the trading post, all complemented with appropriate text and films.
